HAIR TRANSPLANT: THE DAY OF THE PROCEDURE (STEP BY STEP)

The day before the operation:

At home, the patient takes an antiseptic shower in accordance with the protocol provided.
He tries to have a comfortable and calm night's sleep, without excess.

The day of the operation:

Arriving at the clinic, the patient goes over any questions he or she may have with the doctor. The doctor carries out a new clinical examination, takes pre-operative photographs, outlines the donor area and draws the implant area.
The patient then has his or her hair shaved (to a greater or lesser extent depending on the donor technique used: FUT hair transplant or FUE transplant).
The nurse disinfects the scalp prior to the operation. Medical vitals (light monitoring) are taken.
Light sedation is possible, as well as the insertion of a peripheral venous line.

The hair transplant operation:

Once you have settled in, the operation begins with a local anaesthetic of the scalp.
The first phase of the surgery begins very quickly (removal of the grafts using the FUE or FUT method). The grafts are prepared, checked and sorted.
A break is taken at the end of this phase, and then the second part of the procedure begins (implanting the grafts in the area to be grafted).

The end of the treatment:

At the end of the surgery, the scalp is carefully cleaned. The doctor checks each implanted graft, and if necessary carries out a Stick and Place step to optimise density.
Finally, the doctor provides instructions for the night, and contact details if necessary.
The doctor leaves accompanied to his home.

The next day:

The doctor schedules his patient for a clinical reassessment and medical washing of the scalp
